JAN JIRACEK VON ARNIM

Born into a family of musicians, pianist Jan Jiracek von Arnim was described by BBC Music Magazine as one of the leading pianists of his generation. Jiracek von Arnim was theone who won many prizes including the top prize at the Busoni Competition (Italy) and Maria Canals Competition (Spain),and the winner of the Tenth Van Cliburn International Piano Competition (USA).

Jan Jiracek von Arnim gives master classes on a regular basis in North America, Asia and Europe. He has been taught and held a tenured professorship in the piano department of the university of music and performing arts in Vienna, Austriasince 2001, making him the youngest tenured professor in the history of that school. Mr. Jiracek von Arnim is frequently invited as a judge at international piano competitions, e.g. the “London International Piano Competition”, the “Busoni International Piano Competition” and the “Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition for young musicians”. And from2011 on, he has been the Artistic Director and Chairman of the “International Beethoven Piano Competition Vienna”, one of the most prestigious music competitions worldwide.

In 2018, Arnim participated in a number of academic exchanges around the world.Among them, he was invited to Japan national piano instructors association to hold expert classes and conducted relevant academic exchanges with the winners of the association’s regular competitions.In addition, he also went to TongpengGakuenuniversity in Tokyo, Japan to hold master classes for young talented musicians.Went to Positano, Italy to attend an event organized by the Wilhelm Kempf foundation; Went to the annual Padrewski international piano concerto school in Peterkosch, Poland as a professor; He will also serve as the jury of the Dublin international piano competition, the Grieg international piano competition and the Hamamatsu international piano competition.
